On the eve of its decommissioning, a veteran driver takes tram 28 on one last unscheduled run through Alfama. Her passengers — a runaway, a widower, a fado singer who has lost her voice — each have a stop they never made. Valadares shoots the city after midnight like a memory that refuses to fade.
